umgebung2Roero is a geographical area of Piedmont, sited in the north-eastern part of Cuneo province, on the left bank of Tanaro river.

It takes the name from the Roero’s, a family which dominated this territory since the medieval period and for several centuries.

Roundish and soft hills, sometimes inaccessible, characterize the wonderful Roero landscape, a land of vintage wines. The Roero ground is sandy, friable and ochre and is fit for numerous species of grapevines: valuable DOCG wines and DOC; young and lively red wines, important and full-bodied red wines, fruity and fresh white wines.
