The Roero is an area in Piedmont, located in the northeast of the province of Cuneo. on the left bank of the Tanaro.

The name of this area comes from a family name. The Roero family prevailed since the Middle Ages for some centuries this area.

Rounded, soft, but also partly impassable hills characterize the wonderful landscape of the Roero. A country that produces valuable wines. The soil is sandy, friable and ocher and very suitable for the cultivation of many varieties.

The wines with the protected Herkunftsbezeichungen D.O.C.G. and D.O.C. are very high: Red wines - young, lively or heavier, dense wines - and magnificent white wines - Fruity and fresh, gorgeous for summer evenings in the Roero.
