Barbera d’Alba DOC Superiore La Ciapa Vintage 2019

Tasting Notes

On the south-east facing slope of the Gran Madre hill, one of the Canalese sites best suited to viticulture, the vineyards from which this Barbera is born, the result of particular pedoclimatic conditions and careful thinning.

Vinified in steel, it rests 24 months in three thousand liter oak barrels for the first refinement, which continues in the bottle for another six months.

The purplish red of the glass anticipates a dynamic and full sip, characterized by a typical vinous and fruity fragrance that brings forward ripe plum and black corns.

The olfactory spectrum extends over floral notes and spicy grafts due to the passage in wood, which absolutely does not override the clear correspondence of the wine to the grape variety of origin.

Distinguished by a pleasant tannic hint, the mouth closes savory and mineral, offering a fresh and persistent journey.
